Description: A 38-year-old pregnant woman (gravida 1, parity 0) was referred to our antenatal endocrinology tertiary unit in her late-second trimester with severe hypercalcemia. She had experienced severe hyperemesis gravidarum in early pregnancy but had since felt clinically well and her morphology scan and fetal growth were within limits. She had a history of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and depression treated with sertraline. She denied taking any other medications or over-the-counter remedies. She had no family history of calcium disorders, renal calculi, or bone disease and both biological parents were eucalcemic.
